PLC for Remote Monitoring and Control

Local control with centralized monitoring when a connection is available.

PLC200 – Remote Monitoring with PLC

Internet links at remote sites can be intermittent. PLC200 keeps I/O, FX logic, PID and its Web interface running on site. When required, an outgoing Web Tunnel connects the controller to a central portal on Windows or FreeBSD, without a static public IP or inbound ports at the site.

How the connection works

The site works independently

Local measurements, commands and algorithms continue when the remote connection drops.

Web access

The portal can provide access to the built-in Web HMI/SCADA interface of a selected controller.

Modbus at the center

A central SCADA can use Modbus TCP access to multiple controllers through the portal.

Local history

With microSD installed, daily SQLite archives keep measurements for later review.

Example: several remote sites

Controllers handle local control at pumping, energy or measurement sites. Each establishes an outgoing connection to a central portal. Operators open the Web interface for a selected site, while the central SCADA can read Modbus TCP data. Access rights follow the project design.
