BAR100 zener barriers
The BAR100 are barrier devices for securing intrinsically safe electrical circuits. They are implemented as two-stage voltage limiters on the base of zener diodes. The BAR100 provides intrinsical safety of electrical circuits that are connected to the hazardous zone.
They are available in the following versions:
- for current 4-20 mA;
- thermistor;
- RS485 serial interface with power supply;
- for multiplication of pulse signals.
The first three versions are available for incorporation into electronic devices or DIN-rail mounting and the fourth version - only for DIN-rail mounting. In the technical specifications are stated their limiting capacities, inductances, maximum power consumption, etc., which can be applied, depending on the equipment group.
According to the European regulation BAR100 has a marking, corresponding to the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EC (Equipment for potentially explosive atmospheres).
